Helping to buy artworks
Being a Gallery member is a wonderful way to support the permanent collection.
The Gallery receives no government funding for new acquisitions. The funds raised from members fees and events go towards the purchase of art as do proceeds from purchases in the Gallery Shop. Members’ commitment, in the form of donations, has become increasingly important to our fundraising efforts.
As a member, you can become part of the Collection Circle – the Society’s specific fundraising initiative for the Gallery’s collection.
The Collection Circle has contributed to major works for the Gallery’s collection, including Jeffrey Smart’s Matisse at Ashford, Tim Storrier’s Boys own modern, Paul Cézanne’s Banks of the Marne and Arthur Boyd’s Nude carrying a ram.
For details of the latest acquisition efforts and how to join in, see Collection Circle.
