Being a Gallery member is a wonderful way to help support the permanent collection of the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
The Gallery receives no state or federal funding for new acquisitions for the collection. Members' commitment, in the form of donations, has become increasingly important to our fundraising efforts.
In May 2006 the Art Gallery Society launched the Collection Circle, a new fundraising initiative. Its aim is to channel members' donations directly to specific acquisitions for the permanent collection.
The Collection Circle is now actively raising funds for the most ambitious potential acquisition by the Art Gallery of New South Wales - Paul Cezanne (1839-1906) Bords de la Marne, c 1888 - to mark the 30th anniversary as Director, of Edmund Capon.
If you feel you can help by joining the Collection Circle and contributing to funds to purchase this exceptional artwork for the Gallery, you can do so in one of the three ways below.
1. Donate now, online 2. Download and complete the Collection Circle donation form and mail it to the Art Gallery Society (no stamp required, return mailing address on form) 3. Call (02) 9225 1878 Every donation will be devoted entirely to acquiring Paul Cezanne's Bords de la Marne for the Gallery's permanent collection and will be honoured in the following ways: - Members donating $200 or more will receive invitations to Gallery acquisition presentations and special Collection Circle talks/educational events by curators as well as curatorial information about proposed acquisitions.
- Donations of $200 or more will be officially recognised in the AGNSW annual report.
- All donations are tax deductible.
Donations of $200 or more will be recognised in Look magazine. THANK YOU FOR GIVING | Paul Cezanne (1839-1906) Bords de la Marne, c 1888 |
