Categories and Joining prices
Not everyone uses their Gallery membership in the same way. That’s why there are several different membership categories tailored to different needs, from high-level Premier and highly active Contempo through to budget membership packages for students, families and those who visit the Gallery less often.
No matter what the category, all members enjoy our regular benefits – and receive a free ticket to the current major paying exhibition at the Gallery when they join. |

Contempo
Designed specifically for art enthusiasts who enjoy Sydney’s contemporary art world. You’ll receive all the regular benefits plus Contempo’s e-news and a tailored program of events which are a great social outlet too.

Student
Full time-students pay a reduced rate and, in addition to regular benefits, receive a bonus on joining of two free exhibition tickets and $30 worth of vouchers for Gallery events. (You’ll need to provide a copy of your student ID.)

Premier
Offers extra benefits and privileges including free entry to all exhibitions, a free guided tour per year for up to six people and special invitations to functions celebrating new acquisitions, in addition to regular benefits.

Art lovers living over 80km away from the Gallery pay reduced rates and receive free entry to all exhibitions as well as regular benefits.

Ways to save
* Sign up for three years and save over 10% with membership rates frozen at today’s prices.
* Make membership renewal easy by selecting automatic membership renewal when you join and make a one-off saving of $10. (Not available for student memberships.)
* Save $10 if you are a current member of one of these organisations: Australian Ballet, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Glenn Street Theatre, Historic Houses Trust, National Trust of Australia, Sydney Philharmonia Choirs, Sydney Symphony, Sydney Theatre Company. To join the Gallery, call (02) 9225 1878 and state the organisation and your subscriber number. (Not available online or for premier and student memberships.)
