Vintage clothing, furniture and music are all hitching a ride back to modern society to help fulfil our ever-elusive desire for individuality. Language missed that revival train, something I only realised from the puzzled expressions of my peers as I churned through my similes. From this a thought sprang – what if these sayings were taken literally? And this work was born, mixing literal images with the sayings of old. My old soul wants to preserve in a world too busy to learn. Using digital manipulation, I proved you can teach an old-souled dog new tricks.
