Artist’s statement

Each moment, without realising it, we are selectively framing the world around us. Our focus is mostly directed at the all-too-familiar ‘middle ground’ where it is easy to get trapped by social constructs. Looking at the details of our world and looking into the distance both allow us to escape to a place of living geometries that is free of the tyranny of human scale. Inspired by Aldous Huxley’s theoretical essays 'Heaven’ and 'Hell’, as well as artists Frances Richardson and Daniel Zeller, I aimed to explore the patterns transmuting macrocosms and microcosms.
