'I am never interested in the individual, but in the human species and its environment.’ – Gursky
The human environment is increasingly artificial; individual identity has been lost in the modernist world of uniformed perfection. I chose the medium of photography because it represents the intersection between the perfection of engineering and the creativity of the human mind, just like architecture does.
