My work compresses an entire year’s HSC art-making into a six-minute film. Inspired by the Aphex Twin short film and music video Come to Daddy, time-lapse footage and tight editing convey the manic and uncontrolled nature of the art-making processes that HSC students undertake. The film, in both content and title, is a statement on the HSC art-making practice, and every student who has ever produced a major work will recognise a part of themselves somewhere amid the chaos.
