Known as the Yiribana Gallery, this space presents a selection of works from our Indigenous Australian collection.

Our lower Asian gallery is devoted to works from China, Korea and Japan, while our upper gallery presents a selection of Southeast Asian art and is home to a series of changing exhibitions.

One of the country’s finest displays of Australian art, from colonial to contemporary. Featuring some of the Gallery’s most famous and popular works and artists.

Usually home to works from the most comprehensive collection of international and Australian contemporary art in the country, these galleries have currently been given over to our Pop to popism exhibition.

Within these magnificent rooms, you’ll find key names in art history, such as Picasso, Bacon, Van Gogh, Bronzino, Burne-Jones, Canaletto, Claude, Constable, Delacroix, Lord Leighton, Reynolds and Rubens, among others.

Closed temporarily. Painting and sculpture from the birth of modernism to later in the 20th century, including major works by Braque, Kirchner, Beckmann, Picasso and Giacometti, among others.
