| Lorenzo Montesini is the Chairman of the Australian Friends of the Alexandria Library, Egypt (Bibliotheca Alexandrina). A cultural sleuth, Lorenzo will unravel from one seminal year, in one seminal film, from one seminal director, the apogee of the expression of mass popular culture in the 20th century. The film in question is Notorious by Alfred Hitchcock, starring Cary Grant, Ingrid Bergman and Claude Rains, a thriller about three people whose lives become entangled during an espionage operation. Refreshments will be served after the talk. |
