The Gallery’s annual student photo prize

This competition offers an annual high-profile opportunity for students to develop their photographic skills and gain recognition for their efforts.

In 2012, the competition was run in association with the exhibition Flatlands: photography and everyday space and entries to the competition explore the theme of photographic space.

Students were each able to submit up to three photographs in one of the following categories:

Junior: Years 3–6
Intermediate: Years 7–10
Senior: Years 11–12

Prizes

1st: Polaroid camera and Art Gallery of NSW bookshop voucher valued at $100
2nd: Art Gallery of NSW bookshop voucher valued at $75
3rd: Art Gallery of NSW bookshop voucher valued at $50
Highly commended: Art Gallery of NSW bookshop voucher valued at $25
