Friday 7 March 2008 9am-3.30pm Celebrating 25 years of ARTEXPRESS at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the ARTEXPRESS Teachers Day offers presentations by students, teachers, artists and gallery professionals to stimulate ideas, classroom strategies and provide resources. This professional development day investigates ARTEXPRESS as a nexus between visual arts education and the professional practice of the artworld. On the day of the announcement of the Archibald Prize, a special floortalk with artist Ben Quilty, finalist 2004, 2005 and 2006, who also exhibited in ARTEXPRESS in 1991. Includes a sneak preview of the exhibition and winning work.
