TECHNICAL DETAILS
MyVirtualGallery consists of two Flash applications (one for creating and one for viewing) linked to XML output from a Vernon collection database.
User accounts (logins, passwords), exhibition search and backend workflow (for approving exhibitions) are all controlled with Squiz.net’s MySource Classic CMS (the latter two as custom modules).
For speed, thumbnail images (with a maximum dimension of 152 pixels) are used for search. However, when an exhibition is saved and reopened, the images are replaced with medium-resolution versions. (You can also see even higher resolution versions by double-clicking.)
