myVirtualGallery   ::   Suggestions for creating virtual exhibitions

What is an exhibition?

At its most basic level, an exhibition is an arrangement of artworks. But to be effective, it must be more than that; it should engage with the viewer somehow.

Some suggestions

Like a real exhibition, your virtual exhibition should tell some sort of story, either directly or by posing questions.
It might ...

  • focus on the work of one artist or artistic period
  • compare different treatments of a subject or theme
  • explore some related ideas
