Staff Development Days/Sessions

An opportunity for the whole staff to explore the possibilities of teaching and learning in the Visual Arts and other Key Learning Areas using the Gallery’s collections as a starting point. Includes creative strategies for looking at art and programming ideas for the K-6 classroom.

These days are held on the first day (pupil-free day) of Terms Two and Three and incorporate a blend of specially designed programs, tours, lectures and practical workshops for up to three schools. Themes and focus areas can be negotiated, enabling aspects of the day to be tailor-made for each individual school. Practical workshops and tours can be conducted according to Stages to provide relevant and accessible ideas for classroom practice.
9.30am - 3pm
$45 per person (includes morning tea, lunch and education materials)
