Important information:
Limited access to the Gallery’s collection and changed entry procedures

12 November – 19 December 2008
 
Due to the replacement of the Gallery’s escalators and refurbishment of the Domain Theatre, from Wednesday 12 November to Friday 19 December 2008, there will be no access to Lower Level 2, Contemporary Art and Lower Level 3 Yiribana Gallery and no access to the Education Entrance from inside the Gallery.

Making a Booking

Please read this information before making a booking to visit the Gallery.

Maximise your limited time at the Gallery: plan your day strategically.

Consider your desired outcomes and which combination of booked services, individual experiences and resources can best achieve them.

Please note: All bookings, serviced and self-guided, will only be accepted in writing via fax, online or by mail.

To make this process easier for our education audience we have provided an Education Booking Request Form (online or printable) with all the required information fields to successfully make your booking.

We do not take tentative bookings.

Serviced Bookings: Programs

  1. Include the following information:
    School/TAFE/University: Name and contact details
    Department: Name and/or subject area
    Teacher/Lecturer: Name
    Program: Name of discussion tour, study morning, studio session, artist workshop or Art Adventure tour desired
    Dates: Have two alternative dates if your first preference is not available
    Time: Have two alternative times if your first preference is not available
    Students: How many students and what year level?

  2. Contact the Bookings Office
    A minimum of two weeks' notice is required for a serviced booking
    Bookings will only be accepted in writing via fax, online or by mail.

    Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

  3. Confirmation
    Once your booking has been finalised you will receive a confirmation by fax within two working days and then an invoice/ confirmation letter by mail.
    Please check that all details are correct.
    If there are any queries contact the Bookings Office immediately to amend the details.
    Please note: You will be invoiced for any programs and chargeable exhibitions you have booked. Exhibition entry fees are no longer paid at the entry desk on the day of your visit.

  4. Payment
    Payment in full must be received at least five working days prior to your visit.
    Cheque: Make cheques payable to Public Programs Department, AGNSW and send to:
    Public Programs Booking Office

    Credit cards: Bankcard, Mastercard, Visa and Amex accepted - tel. (02) 9225 1740
    Direct Deposit: Westpac Banking Corp. BSB 032001; Account No. 101096. Please quote your invoice number

  5. Booking cancellations and amendments
    The Gallery has a cancellation and amendment policy.
    Cancellations must be received by fax at least two working days prior to the scheduled booking and will incur a 10% administration fee.
    Cancellations received after this time carry full liability for payment.
    Amendments must be received by fax no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled booking.
    Amendments received after this time carry full liability for payment.

Self-guided visit bookings

Bookings will only be accepted in writing via fax, online or by mail.
A minimum of 48 hours' notice is preferred for non-serviced bookings.

Include the following information:

  • School name
  • Department
  • Date
  • Time
  • Student numbers and year level
  • Exhibition or collection area you wish to visit

Confirmation
