Teachers' Preview
CROSSING COUNTRY: THE ALCHEMY OF WESTERN ARNHEM LAND ART Tuesday 14 September 2004 5.15-7.30pm Cost: $15
An event especially for teachers, incorporating presentations by Hetti Perkins, Senior Curator, Ken Watson, Assistant Curator and Jonathan Jones, Co-ordinator Aboriginal Programs from the Gallery's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Department.
The program includes an overview of the exhibition, its key themes, artworks and artists, insights into the consultation process with the Maningrida community and associated K-6 and 7-12 teaching strategies, programs and resources. Refreshments and live entertainment will follow the presentations.
As an extra bonus, the cost will include an admission ticket, valued at $15, to the Crossing Country exhibition after it opens on 25 September. |
