Please note: due to Gallery building renovations the HSC Study Days will not run in 2008. The program will return in November 2009. In mid-November of each year the Art Gallery of New South Wales hosts the HSC Study Day for Year 11 students from a range of New South Wales school regions: Western Sydney Region South Western Sydney Region Hunter / Central Coast Region This full day program focuses on both components of the Visual Arts written examination, specifically addressing and investigating questions from Section 1 and Section 2 of the most recent HSC paper. The program includes lectures by an artist and art writer or art critic or curator, investigating agencies within the art world. During this valuable program, teachers and students will be familiarised with the Gallery’s permanent collection as a key resource for studies in the Stage 6 Visual Arts Syllabus. A teacher resource pack and morning tea is included. Dates: Mid-November annually. Confirmed by Term 3 each year.
