An actor on stage
23 Jan 1927 - 22 Apr 1982
Williams began making etchings in 1954, while a student at the Central School of Arts and Crafts in London. Inspired to some degree by Sickert and Daumier, his subjects during this period, were often taken from drawings made on the spot of street-life and performers in music halls.
