  • About

Born in Niigata, and educated at Tama Art University, Nakayama now lives in Nagano Prefecture. Nakayama has been working consistently for some decades on his distinctive and highly decorative images of stylised girls, butterflies and horses. His palette is rich and his images overlap and interweave, often against a goldleaf background. His idiosyncratic prints have been a feature of many print exhibitions in Japan.
