Born in Hokkaido, Mizuochi studied at the Setagaya Print Workshop in Tokyo, and now lives in Saitama Prefecture.
He makes his prints from odd juxtapositions of ordinary elements. He has done several works where he uses photographs of a potplant and a child, and by subverting their normal relationship creates a surreal and alienating world.
