Viva Jillian Gibb documents the rituals and events in the lives of the different cultural and religious groups in Australia. Her images provide an intriguing glimpse into areas that are often private - death, marriage and worship - and thus open them up to public scrutiny. The images enable public acknowledgment of cultural difference through an intimate look at experiences that, regardless of background, are familiar to us all.
