The name of the photographer, 'Bremner', is written on the trunk of the tree that dominates the right side of the image. Fred Bremner was a British photographer who worked at a number of photographic studios in different cities around India from 1883 to 1923. He published two volumes of photographs – 'Types of the Indian Army' (1905) and 'Baluchistan Illustrated 1900' (1905). He is best known for his work in Baluchistan and Sindh (present-day Pakistan), areas that were rarely photographed.
