About
Medworth and his daughters used to go to Regents Park Zoo in London every art school holidays to draw animals. The animals in this sketchbook were most likely drawn before 1935, (perhaps c.1934?), when he was living at Queen Anne's Grove (address written on inside front cover). In late 1938, after spending four years living in Hull (1935-38), he emigrated to Australia.
