Robert Clinch was born in Cooma, NSW in 1957. He has exhibited regularly since 1985 in Australia, and since 2000 in New York. His work has been included in one Archibald Prize and 11 Wynne Prizes, and he was the winner of the AGNSW Trustees' Watercolour Prize twice, in 1989 and 1993.
