  • About

Yagi Issō (1894–1973) was the father of Yagi Kazuo, one of the founders of the Sōdeisha, an avant-garde group of ceramicists and sculptors in 1900s Japan. The simple slender form of this vase makes it ideally suited to the display of a single flower in the tea-ceremony.
