About

Bao Jun was a native of Zhuhai in Guangdong province. He received his 'jinshi' degree in 1823, earning first place, and then became the member of the Hanlin Academy. He served as a ranking official at the Ministry of Punishments. He was considered a renowned calligrapher and poet in the Guangdong region.
