  • About

'Fluid I' is a large drawing depicting two legs that would seem to be cut off at the knees. A persistent theme in Wright's work is the relationship between body and landscape. Her works depict truncated body parts in a manner that also suggests a cliff face in a majestic landscape, or the murky depths of a sea of mud. Earth and water are recurrent motifs. There is a sense of awe and wonder achieved in 'Fluid I'. Wright's work is poetic. It relies on the fragment of an image to suggest a greater whole.
