State of the Arts: culture
Pulling art beyond the canvas
In conjunction with Kluster and blackandwhite design, Contempo is pulling art beyond the canvas and into the industrial spaces of 107 Projects in Redfern.
Works by Sydney artists, including Numskull, Adam Hill and Hollie Martin, will be screenprinted, alongside a large-scale gold, inflatable installation space by Urban Future Organisation and live performances by Chico Monks and musician Oscar Wuts.
State of the Arts invites guests to get amongst the art, become involved and actively challenge the way identity, environment and participation influence the process of creating a contemporary work.
