Kids Club 2013
A monthly art program for members’ children aged 5–8
These monthly workshops aim to familiarise your children with the Gallery, introduce them to art, inspire their talents and create their own unique artworks. This includes engaging with the Gallery’s collection and visiting some special exhibitions.
Kids Club runs one weekend every month, with three sessions on Saturday and Sunday. The workshops are for the children of Art Gallery Society of NSW members only.

Three full working days (Mon–Fri) notice is required to qualify for a refund. All refunds attract an administration charge of 25% of the ticket price(s) with a minimum charge of $5. With subscription tickets there are no refunds for single sessions, unless a session is cancelled. Not negotiable.

Year of the snake
2013 is the Chinese Year of the Snake. What qualities do you see in snakes? Let’s celebrate by creating a slippery, slithery, spectacular, colourful snake to give us good luck all year long.

Let’s create a magical floral wonderland using clay and our imaginations. We will look at lots of plants and flowers in the Gallery for inspiration.

Strike a pose
Have fun looking in the mirror and creating an expressive self portrait.
Using pencils and watercolours, be as realistic and creative as you like.
Food, glorious food
What food do you like to eat? And how would you make it? Some foods are interesting to look at, fun to make as well as being delicious to eat. Design a tasty still life composition using the shapes of your favorite foods.

Let’s investigate the colours of winter and celebrate the chilly season with a warming wintry collage scroll to hang on your wall.
Lost in space
Imagine you could travel in time. How would you get around? Design a unique futuristic time machine using an assortment of old and new materials.
Let’s look at a selection of colourful, modern paintings and make our own fun abstract painting, exploring line, shape and colour.
Would you like to live under the sea? What kinds of creatures would you see? Let’s find some fishy friends in the Gallery and make an underwater wonderland.
Make a beautiful, soft and moody moonlight landscape using oil pastels and collage.

Do you like to collect things? What do you collect? Think of some special things you love and we’ll make a unique treasure box to store them in.

Where do you like to go on holidays? Let’s travel around the Gallery and search for some interesting holiday destinations. We will map our journey by making a special travel diary.
