Directors forum

Hosted by Michael Cathcart, ABC Radio National

How do the great American museums preserve their nation’s cultural heritage and present it to the world?

Join Michael Cathcart, presenter of ABC Radio National’s Books and Arts Daily, for a unique opportunity to hear from three museum directors about art in America – its rich history, its great collections and its future.

Michael’s guests in this forum will be Timothy Rub, director of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, one of the oldest museums in the United States; Elizabeth Glassmann, CEO of the Terra Foundation for American Art, a 'museum without walls’; and Art Gallery of NSW director Michael Brand, who worked in North American museums for many years.
