Creative drawing workshop
Get your hands dirty in this fun and inspiring drawing workshop with artist and teacher Andrew Antoniou. Andrew will help you to explore the picture plane with the use of mark-making and collage techniques, enabling you to develop your own personal imagery.
Using the Gallery collection as an inspiring reference point, Andrew will guide you through a variety of traditional and more contemporary methods of forming a picture plane. The workshop will encourage you to think about composition and visual dynamics within the image. Working with charcoal, you will also be developing technical skills that will enhance your imagery through a greater understanding of line and tone study.
All materials provided. Bring an apron, notepad and lunch (or buy it at the Gallery).
Note: This workshop, originally scheduled for 3 August 2014, has been rescheduled to 2 November.
