Coffee lectures: Charles Dickens turns 200
SOLD OUT
With Susannah Fullerton
On 7 February 2012, Charles Dickens turns 200 and celebrations will be held around the world, including Sydney, to mark this important event.
Dickens was the most famous writer of his age, a campaigner for the poor and advocate for social justice, an amateur actor, a bad husband and a man who rose from humble beginnings to wealth and public adoration.
Susannah Fullerton will present four talks at the Gallery on the remarkable life story of Dickens and his novels. Each begins with coffee in the Domain Theatre foyer at 10am, followed by the talk at 10.30am in the Domain Theatre.
