The Big Draw workshop

Drop-in drawing workshop in the Grand Courts

The Big Draw originated in the UK, but has now spread around the world, including Australia. It is a series of community-based events designed to encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to draw. See www.campaignfordrawing.org/bigdraw/

For the Big Draw 2010, the Art Gallery of NSW will host an open workshop, giving you an opportunity to sketch the beautiful figurative sculptures of Bertram Mackennal in the Gallery’s Grand Courts. Our art educators will be on hand for guidance and advice on technique, whatever your age or level of drawing experience. Stay for as little or as long as you like, so that you can enjoy the rest of the evening’s drawing-related programs.

All materials will be provided.

The workshop is free, but numbers are limited to available easels, so you may have to wait for a place to become available.
