John Kaldor introduces internationally acclaimed US street artist Barry McGee, who will discuss his gallery practice and street art projects, including his new Josh Twister mural. Barry’s raw, energetic paintings can be seen in the new contemporary galleries, featuring the John Kaldor Family Collection and in Urbanity (Re) Engaged, curated by Amanda Sharrad and Justine Topfer for Laneway Art 2011, part of Art & About Sydney.

Barry McGee’s work is represented in the Foundation Cartier (Paris, France), Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego (California), Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (Michigan) and The Watari Museum of Contemporary Art (Tokyo, Japan).
