Jane Austen coffee lecture
Jane Austen and Chawton House Library
Sandy Lerner, co-founder of CISCO Systems and founder of Urban Decay Cosmetics, is also founder of the wonderful Chawton House Library, at the Centre for the Study of Early English Women Writers. Chawton House is an Elizabethan manor house that was inherited by Jane Austen’s brother. Sandy is also a novelist (under the name Ava Farmer). She is in Australia for the first time and will be speaking about the establishment of the library, its collections and its future. Members of the Art Gallery Society and of the Jane Austen Society of Australia are invited to this very special event.
