Ben Hauptmann Jazz Combo
Ben Hauptmann is a nationally recognised jazz guitarist, who has shared the stage with a diverse range of artists such as Joss Stone, Katie Noonan, Lior and James Morrison. He has performed extensively internationally and at major Australian music festivals including Homebake, Woodford Folk Festival and Splendour in the Grass. Tonight Ben is joined by James Hauptmann and Brendan Clarke.

A great new band featuring the legendary Geoff Bull on trumpet alongside some of Sydney’s finest young jazz players. Playing traditional New Orleans style jazz, the group is keeping this tradition alive while also giving it a breath of fresh air. Geoff and The Finer Cuts draw from a huge palette of traditional tunes and also play many original compositions.

The Morrisons are a five-piece string band playing bluegrass, country and honky-tonk. They perform lonesome songs of lost loves and foot-stomping affairs of bullets and whiskey. Fronted by the sweet country voice of James Morrison, the band hosts some of Sydney’s best string players – Jimmy Daley (mandolin), Miles Fraser (guitar), Elsen Price (bass) and Zane Banks (banjo). Since forming in late 2012, The Morrisons have built a loyal crowd following at their regular Sydney shows and are currently recording their first album.
