A monthly art program designed for members’ children aged 9–12

Art Club is designed for member’s children aged 9–12 years. These monthly classes will broaden your child’s knowledge of art and develop their own artistic ability. With each class focusing on a medium and technique, they will also explore the Gallery and gather inspiration for their own artwork. Art Club runs one weekend every month, with three sessions over Saturday and Sunday.

Cancellations:
Three full working days (Mon–Fri) notice is required to qualify for a refund. All refunds attract an administration charge of 25% of the ticket price(s) with a minimum charge of $5. With subscription tickets there are no refunds for single sessions, unless a session is cancelled. Not negotiable.

Learn about Picasso through collage and mixed media. We use a classic still life subject to play with form and composition, using collage and mixed media.

This month we look at artist David Aspen and study colour, through the seasons.
We look at the work of artist David Aspen and use leaf forms and complementary colours to paint an abstract work inspired by the seasons.

Jeff Koons and kitsch-inspired art

We visit the Contemporary galleries to see the work of artist Jeff Koons, who is well known for his play with banal and kitsch imagery. We discuss the meaning of kitsch, before creating a foil embossing, inspired by the forms and patterns found in Vase of flowers.
