Indigenous soldiers and the First World War

Philippa Scarlett is a Canberra-based historian with an interest in Indigenous service in the First World War. She is the author of two books: The Lock family in World War One: how service records contribute to Darug history and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander volunteers for the AIF: the Indigenous response to World War One.

In this special lecture Philippa discusses the history of Indigenous service in the First World War.
