More information >

Australia is renowned for its multiculturalism. Through my artwork I attempt to show that a person's nationality is irrelevant to their cultural background, thereby challenging preconceived images of the 'typical' Australian. I have printed my photos on canvas to enhance their tactile quality and their impact.

FRAMING QUESTION

In these works, both photographers explore issues of national identity. How have the growth and change in Australia's cultural mix over time been revealed? Discuss how representation of facial expressions and human emotions can act to unify racial difference through the common human condition.
