If one displaces reality does it become illusion? 
Digital animation mimics reality. Inspired by Magritte, I sculpted, built and crafted a human likeness - but it was not real. Then, recontextualising this 'pseudo' being in a world of real experiences, I could better empathise with myself objectively, much as an actor exaggerates reality through expression to increase understanding from an audience.
