The surreal, didactic depictions of sin and suffering featured in Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights triptych formed the conceptual basis for my work, a humorous exploration of 20th-century excess. The drawings reference Christian iconography, using contemporary symbols to question the relevance of inflexible medieval morality in the modern world.
