When you dream your subconscious produces environments and situations from an amalgamation of experiences and memories. Real physical and social environments often form the basis of the surreal, transformed dreamscapes, imbued with intense feeling. ‘Late Night’ is a visual manifestation of a dream I’ve had, inspired by the alternate reality I experienced in my
sleeping hours; an exercise requiring a medium I could use to recreate the three-dimensional interiors. I used Final Cut Pro to assemble the 5700 digital frames in the style of ‘primitive’ stop-motion, allowing me to explore, more thoroughly, the mysterious regions of my mind.
