Landscape of Man is an exploration of natural and built environments. The artwork was inspired by my aerial perspective of the land during recent flying studies (Private Pilots Licence). I have created three sculptural forms- each that can be deconstructed and explored with this process reminiscent of archaeological practices involved in the recovery of the Ancient Chinese Bronze vessels. My art practice has been influenced by such artists as Yukinori Yangi, Mondrian, Leonardo Da-Vinci, Ancient Chinese vessels and Architectural forms. My selection of materials (Bronze, Bitumen, Patina, Architectural plans, Copper, Perspex, Ant farms and Computer circuitry) also reflect the time lapse from ancient to contemporary times evident in my work.
