The issues and ideas that I was looking to explore were fear, anxiety, loneliness, and the continuum of survival against the flow of uncertainty which we face on a daily basis. The Swimmer By Jan Senburg inspired me to explore the idea of water and our dependence on the natural elements, fire, earth and water, in life. Film, being a time based medium, gave me the opportunity to consider more elements such as sound, movement, time passing, and the different tensions connected to “the flow” of daily existence. The process of exploring thoughts in visual form was the most rewarding aspect of my H.S.C experience.
