Have any drawings been exhibited at the Archibald Prize?
At least four drawings have been accepted into the Archibald Prize exhibition.
Two of Percy I. White's 1928 entries, portraits of Mr Edward Vidler and Dr
William Maloney M.H.R., were drawings. So too, were
Muriel Pornett's Bon (pencil and crayon), entered in the
1935 competition, and Jo Caddy's Self portrait (chalk),
entered in the 1967 competition.
Watercolour paintings and miniatures have also been
accepted into the Archibald Prize.
