Internships

The internship program offers opportunities for tertiary students and early-career professionals to working towards a career in museums and galleries.

Each application is assessed on its merits, however preference is given to tertiary students whose course requirements necessitate formal internships. See Internships for details.

Volunteers

Volunteering is a rewarding way to participate in the life of the Gallery through the community ambassadors, task force or volunteer guides programs.

Members of Contempo (part of the Art Gallery Society) can also volunteer to help with fundraising to support the Gallery’s contemporary art collection and a calendar full of member events and activities. See Members for details.

Tenders

From time to time, the Gallery calls for tenders. These are advertised here and in the NSW Government Tender Section of The Sydney Morning Herald (usually published on Mondays).
